Adult advance Lesson - Level 4

Description:

Our Improver Plus Lesson takes your surf progression to the next level. Building on the foundations of the Improver lesson, you’ll move to our Cruiser  wave with more autonomy, offering a longer, slightly steeper face with more speed to refine your techniques.

Level 4 - Blue

Technique & Practice

• Understanding the difference between the outside and inside, and maintaining good positioning in the take-off zone
• Taking proper positioning for take-off, controlling the board, performing the paddle approach to the peak, and catching waves without assistance
• Identifying lefts and rights, taking off at the highest point of the wave, and looking in the intended direction
• Performing a lip take-off and dropping into the wave safely with a solid base stance, including angled take-offs when necessary
• Trimming along the wave face (frontside and backside) with good body positioning, using arms and legs correctly
• Performing cutbacks on softer sections of the wave

General Knowledge & Wave Reading

• Ensuring and consolidating all requirements from previous levels
• Identifying take-off timing and the correct moment to stand up
• Reading waves, their different sections, and timing
• Understanding lineup rules

Safety

• Ensuring and consolidating all requirements from previous levels
• Having autonomy in the inside and returning safely to the lineup
• Being able to swim from the outside to the inside without a surfboard

Suitable for: Surfers who have completed the Improver lesson or consistently catch their own waves on Cruiser sessions or ocean green waves. For those looking to sharpen technique, build confidence and prepare for intermediate and advanced sessions.
